On this Mashujaa Day, the Senate of the Republic of Kenya joins all Kenyans in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of our national heroes, past and present, whose vision and valor built the foundation of our nation.

We salute the men and women who fought for our independence, defended our democracy, and continue to serve in every corner of our republic to uphold justice, unity, and progress.

As we celebrate this day, let us renew our collective commitment to the values that define us as a people; patriotism, integrity, hard work, and respect for one another. 

We also honour modern heroes such as Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, whose steadfast commitment to democracy, good governance, and the unity of our nation has inspired generations and strengthened the pillars of our republic.

May we continue to build a Kenya where every citizen enjoys dignity, opportunity, and peace.
