National Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula says clean Water is a critical resource for homes, institutions, and the nation at large.

Speaker Wetang’ula was speaking Thursday morning while hosting H.E Kang Hyungshik, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kenya, at Parliament Buildings.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has called on Members of Parliament to tighten the legislation governing the Country's transport sector.

Speaker Wetang’ula raised concerns on the rising cases of road accidents, indicating that the Country is losing several lives to road carnage. He indicated the importance of the Nation to reflect deeply on how to curb this menace.

The Blue Economy, Water and Irrigation has raised concerns over a proposal by the State Department for Blue Economy and Fisheries seeking Kshs. 991 million to facilitate the hosting of the 11th Our Ocean Conference scheduled for June this year.

During a meeting to review Supplementary Estimates 1 for FY 2025/26, Members questioned the size of the allocation and sought clarification on the breakdown of the expenditure.
