The Senate Committee on County Public Investments and Special Funds, chaired by Taita Taveta Senator Johnes Mwaruma, met Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and his County Executive to assess implementation of House resolutions arising from previous Auditor-General reports on county funds.

 

The audit findings had earlier been canvassed by the Committee, whose report was subsequently tabled and adopted by the Senate. The House then directed Kajiado County to implement specific recommendations, prompting this follow-up meeting.

 

𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐊𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐄

The Senate Standing Committee on Energy, led by its Chairperson, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator William Kisang, condoled with Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale at his Malinya home following the death of his wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.

 

While offering words of encouragement to Senator Khalwale, who is a member of the Committee, Senator Kisang urged him to thank God for the years he shared with his departed wife and the blessings He bestowed upon them.

 

VACANT POSITION FOR MEMBER OF THE PARLIAMENTARY SERVICE COMMISSION

The Parliamentary Service Commission is established under Article 127 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to among others provide services and facilities to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Parliament. Article 127 of the Constitution provides that the Parliamentary Service Commission shall consist of, among others, one man and one woman appointed by Parliament from among persons who are experienced in public affairs, but are not members of Parliament.
