Lawmakers' have demanded that the Ministry of Education streamline the implementation of the university funding model and consider consolidating funding streams to make university education free.

A joint session of the National Assembly's Committee on Administration and Internal Security and the Senate's Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations today Thursday, August 15, 2024 held approval hearings for the Inspector General of Police nominee, Mr. Douglas Kanja. 

During the vetting, Mr. Kanja assured Kenyans that he will use his vast experience in the Police Service to enhance National Security. He said that his 39 years of service has equipped him to transform the police force for the benefit of all Kenyans.
