National Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang'ula held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Commons in Canada, Hon. Greg Fergus in his office at Parliament Buildings.

Hon. Fergus is in the country with a delegation from Canada comprising MPs among other leaders for an official visit to Kenya.

The Sixth Annual Conference of the Hansard Association of Kenya (HAK) kicked off yesterday, Tuesday April 2, 2024, in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

The four-day Conference themed ‘Leveraging on past successes in the Era of Artificial Intelligence’ brings together all Hansard Editors and Reporters from the Parliament of Kenya, representatives from the 47 counties and honorary members from the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), Parliament of Uganda and the National Assembly of Tanzania.

The Departmental Committee on Tourism and Wildlife, chaired by Hon. Kareke Mbiuki (Maara) met with Principal Secretary for Tourism, Mr. John Ololtuaa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tourism Promotion Fund, Mr. Stephen Kinyanjui, and Tourism Fund Ag. CEO, Mr. David Mwangi to assess the budget implementation for the Financial Year 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has said it will no longer permit the reopening of audits by the introduction of new documents or evidence that should have been submitted to the auditors earlier during the audit.

Chairperson, Hon. John Mbadi (Nominated) said the Committee will exclusively address only audit queries as presented by the Auditor General.
