Sessional Committee on County Public Accounts and Investments: - to execute the mandate of the Senate pursuant to the provisions of Article 96 (3), to exercise oversight over national revenue allocated to county governments. The relevant enabling provisions are Articles 228 (6), 229(7, 8).

Sessional Committee on Devolved Government- to consider all matters related to intergovernmental and inter-county relations, governance and management of county governments, cities towns and urban areas.

class="post-title">The Liaison Committee

The Liaison Committee consists of the Speaker as chairperson and the chairpersons of all committees of the Senate [and chairpersons or vice chairpersons of joint committees] except ad hoc committees.
guide and co-ordinate the operations, policies and mandates of all Committees;
deliberate on and apportion the annual operating budget among the Committees;
consider programmes of all Committees, including their need to travel and sit away from the precincts of the Senate;
deliberate and decide on which reports of the Committees shall be

class="post-title">The Rules and Business Committee

The Rules and Business Committee shall be appointed within seven days on assembly of a new Senate. In nominating members to the Rules and Business Committee, each parliamentary party shall include its whip into the membership.

class="post-title">The Senate Business Committee

The Senate Business Committee consist of –

the Speaker as the Chairperson,
the Leader of the Majority Party/ Coalition,
the Leader of the Minority Party/ Coalition; and
not more than nine other Senators, reflecting the relative majorities of the seats held by each of the parliamentary parties/ coalitions in the Senate, who shall be nominated by the parliamentary parties/ coalitions and approved by the Senate at the commencement of every Session.
