NAIROBI, 20 April – The Senate Committee on Health presided by Ag Chair, Sen Ledama Olekina has today heard that the country’s supply of the Astra Zeneca-Oxford COVID-19 vaccine may run out by next week.

In a meeting held between the Committee and the private sector, Dr. Amit Thakker who is the Chair of the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), however, allayed fears of those expecting their second jabs, saying he remained optimistic.

NAIROBI, 9^th April – The Senate Committee on Finance and Budget, chaired by Sen Charles Kibiru, held a meeting with the National Treasury, Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and the Attorney-General (AG) as part of stakeholder engagement on the Division of Revenue Bill, 2021.

The National Assembly yesterday voted to proceed on recess until on Tuesday, 4^th May, 2021 at 2.30p.m, when the House will resume to continue with the First Part of the Session. The resolution was contained in a Motion moved by the Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Amos Kimunya seeking to suspend the Ordinary House Sittings from yesterday 30^th March, 2021.

NAIROBI, 17^th March – Health worker representative groups have today expressed full support for the vaccine rollout by the Government but have in the same breath decried lack of inclusivity and poor messaging on the part of Ministry of Health (MoH).
