𝐁𝐔𝐃𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐒 𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒

The National Assembly is set to reconvene tomorrow, Tuesday 27th May 2025 from a four week working recess where Members of Parliament led country wide public participation on a Constitution Amendment Bill seeking to entrench three funds; National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), Senate Oversight Fund and National Government Affirmative Action Fund.

Top on the lawmakers' agenda is the proposed Ksh 4.34 trillion budget for the 2025/2026 fiscal year. This budget reflects a 9.9% increase from the previous fiscal year's KSh 3.95 trillion allocation.

The Education sector has received the highest allocation in the National Government’s Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2025/26. According to an analysis by the Parliamentary Budget Office, the sector will account for 28.1% of the total budget, translating to Kshs. 701.1 billion.
