The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, National Assembly Bills No. 39 of 2017

The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, National Assembly Bills No. 39 of 2017 was read a First Time on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017 and committed to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2017 for consideration pursuant to standing order 134 of the Senate Standing Orders.

The Joint Select Committee on Election-Related Laws Public Hearings

The Joint Select Committee on Election-Related Laws has commenced Public Hearings in regards to the two Bills that are currently before the two Houses.

The committee co-chaired by Baringo North MP, Hon. William Cheptumo and Isiolo Senator, Sen. Fatuma Dullo has been conducting hearings in accordance with Article 118, that provides for public participation in the Legislative Process.

Unpacking of the Budget Policy Statement for the Financial Year 2025/2026 and the Medium Term

The National Treasury projects that the economy will grow by 5.3 per cent in 2025 compared to 4.6 per cent projected in 2024. The agriculture sector is expected to be supported by favorable weather and implementation of BETA priority value chains; the services sector by investments in the ICT sector and government interventions to boost tourism and the industry sector by the anticipated reduction in production costs and initiatives to support value addition

 

Budget Information

OVERALL BUDGET FOR 2012/13

The total revised budget for 2012/13 as approved by Parliament amounted to Kshs. 1.52 trillion. This included Kshs. 345.99 billion for consolidated funds services (CFS), Kshs. 710.68 billion for recurrent expenditure and Kshs. 460.28 billion for development expenditure.
